The Manual Grade Export Problem
If you've ever used a third-party teaching tool alongside your LMS, you know the drill. Students take a quiz in one system. You export the grades as a CSV. You reformat the columns to match the LMS import format. You upload. You pray nothing broke.
And you do this every week. For every assignment. For every section.
Automatic Grade Sync
Starting today, grades from Blended Teaching sync automatically to your LMS gradebook. When a student completes a quiz, their score appears in Canvas, Blackboard, or Brightspace — no export, no import, no reformatting.
Supported LMS Platforms
- Canvas — Full LTI 1.3 integration with automatic grade passback
- Blackboard — REST API grade sync with section mapping
- Brightspace (D2L) — LTI Advantage grade service integration
How It Works
- Connect once — Link your Blended Teaching course to your LMS section through our setup wizard. Takes about 2 minutes.
- Assign as usual — Create quizzes and assignments in Blended Teaching. They automatically appear as grade columns in your LMS.
- Grades flow automatically — When students submit, their scores sync to the LMS gradebook within seconds.
What Syncs
- Quiz scores (percentage and points)
- Assignment completion status
- Late submission flags
- Attempt counts (for multiple-attempt quizzes)
Privacy and Security
All grade data is transmitted over encrypted connections using LTI 1.3 / LTI Advantage standards. We never store LMS credentials. The integration uses OAuth 2.0 tokens that expire and refresh automatically.
Student data flows directly from Blended Teaching to your LMS — we don't share it with any third parties.
Getting Started
If you're already using Blended Teaching with an LMS, the grade sync is available now in your course settings. Go to Settings → LMS Integration → Enable Auto Sync.
